Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dispatcher for a full-time, on-site position located in Milton, ON. The Dispatcher will manage day-to-day operations by coordinating and scheduling freight deliveries, ensuring effective communication with drivers, and resolving any operational issues that may arise. Responsibilities include booking loads from Load boards , creating delivery routes, monitoring transportation progress, addressing client inquiries, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in dispatching, load booking, route planning, and transportation management systems
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to coordinate effectively with drivers and clients
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices in transportation and logistics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an advantage
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office software
