About the role
DDI Canada is developing a master-planned golf community in Bayside, HRM. We need a hands-on Site Supervisor to run daily field operations: servicing and civil work, lot development, and home construction as phases advance. - Enforce the site safety program under the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act. Run toolbox talks, site inspections and incident reporting
- Enforce erosion and sediment control and the conditions of Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change (NSECC) approvals and HRM permits
- Work with the engineer of record, geotechnical and testing consultants, and municipal and Halifax Water inspectors, and keep inspection and testing records current
- Verify quantities, review contractor progress claims for payment, and flag change orders and delays before they become cost problems
- Keep daily logs, photo records, deficiency lists and as-built information
- Coordinate with the project's golf course construction team on shared access, drainage and grading interfaces
- Escalate issues early and in writing to the project director
