As a Construction & Maintenance Project Manager, you will be the technical architect of our real estate portfolio. Your mission? Plan, develop, and lead store construction projects and maintenance operations to ensure the safety, comfort, sustainability, and economic performance of all our buildings.
Your Mission
- Construction Project Planning & Execution: Provide technical expertise for new store openings (greenfield or existing sites), remodels, relocations, downsizings, or extensions. Conduct technical due diligence processes (environmental, structural, soil). Oversee external contractors, and manage construction sites through to final handover, adhering to budgets, timelines, safety standards, and environmental targets (sustainable building certifications, CO2 reduction).
- Maintenance Management & Supervision: Define and implement maintenance policies across the entire store network. Support the operational transfer to store teams (handover). Select and manage Facility Management partners to guarantee high standards of quality, safety, and brand image. Respond to emergency situations and provide continuous support to store teams.
- Portfolio Optimization & Sustainability: Conduct regular technical audits and diagnostics (building health assessments). Define medium- and long-term investment plans (Capex/Opex). Identify and deploy innovative technical solutions to reduce operating costs and lower carbon footprint (energy efficiency, renewable energy).
- Collaboration & Skill Development: Train and guide local managers on technical building operations. Collaborate with international teams (United Real Estate & United Facility Management) to integrate global best practices.
Your Profile
- You hold a university degree or college diploma in engineering, construction management, or facility management.
- You have at least 5 years of experience leading commercial construction projects and/or managing technical real estate operations, particularly within the retail sector.
- You possess strong expertise in project management, cost control, contract negotiation, and safety regulations for job sites and public-access buildings.
- You demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability issues (environmental certifications, energy management, carbon footprint reduction).
- You display strong analytical and organizational skills, complex problem-solving abilities, and excellent collaborative leadership.
- You are fluent in both French and English (bilingual working environment with international exposure).
