On the Vertical Oil and Gas team, you will have the chance to build wholistic insurance programs (P&C and Auto) both domestically and abroad for insuredâs who work in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sector.
What to Expect
â˘Manage and grow a profitable portfolio of renewal business while maintaining strong retention results. â˘Assess, evaluate, and quote new business opportunities within your underwriting authority. â˘Analyze and price complex risks across the Oil & Gas sector, delivering competitive and sustainable solutions. â˘Negotiate terms, conditions, and coverage solutions with broker partners. â˘Build and strengthen relationships with brokers through regular client meetings, marketing initiatives, and account reviews. â˘Serve as a trusted advisor and technical resource to brokers, helping position our Oil & Gas practice as a market leader. â˘Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote and support the continued growth of the Oil & Gas portfolio. â˘Share knowledge, mentor team members, and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence. â˘Stay informed on industry trends, emerging risks, and market developments. â˘Support additional projects and initiatives as required.
What you Bring
â˘University degree or college diploma. â˘3 to 5 years of insurance or underwriting experience within the Property & Casualty industry. â˘Experience with, or a strong interest in developing expertise in, Oil & Gas Property, Inland Marine, Casualty, and Auto lines. â˘Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, or progress toward completion, is considered an asset. â˘Strong sales and business development mindset with a passion for building relationships.
Salary Range: $59,300-$109,200
Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
