The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, PI Operational Planning & Analysis, the Specialist, [PI Operations Reporting & Analysis] plays a key role in supporting Personal Insurance leadership through delivery of business performance reporting, financial analysis, and actionable insights. This role is responsible for producing management reporting, analyzing key business trends and performance drivers, and supporting planning and forecasting activities that enable informed decision-making across the Personal Insurance business. The position works closely with Finance and business stakeholders to identify emerging risks, opportunities, and operational improvements while helping ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of reporting processes.
What to Expect
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and executive business performance reporting for Personal Insurance leadership.
- Analyze financial and operational results against plan, forecast, and prior periods to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop clear business insights and performance commentary to support decision-making.
- Support Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, executive reporting packages, and ad hoc analysis requests.
- Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling activities.
- Develop and maintain performance models, scorecards, KPIs, and reporting tools to measure business results.
- Enhance reporting processes through automation, dashboard development, data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, business leaders, and stakeholders to deliver performance insights, recommendations, and strategic business support.
What you Bring
University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
3-5 years of experience in business performance reporting, financial analysis, planning and forecasting, FP&A, or management reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools is an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry is considered an asset.
Salary Range: $73,500-$123,500
Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
