Role Description The Temp Dental Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based at our Mississauga, ON location. This role is responsible for greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring a positive front-desk experience. Day-to-day tasks include answering and directing phone calls, booking and confirming appointments, updating patient records, and handling payment processing. The Temp Dental Receptionist will coordinate schedules for dental providers, verify patient information, and communicate clearly with both patients and clinical staff. This position also involves maintaining a tidy reception area, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting administrative duties as needed during the temporary assignment.
Qualifications
- Abeldent Experience is mandatory.
- Strong receptionist skills, including front-desk operations and general administrative duties.
- Proficiency in appointment scheduling and managing patient bookings in practice management software.
- Knowledge of dental care settings and familiarity with common dental terminology and procedures.
- Excellent phone etiquette and clear, professional communication skills with patients and team members.
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office reception role is an asset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling payments, insurance information, and confidential patient data in line with privacy regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work on-site full time for the duration of the temporary assignment.
