Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Health & Wellness Manager(s), the Program Assistant supports the provision of personal support services for clients of the Dilico Health & Wellness Team. This includes but is not limited to assistance with the overall management, supervision, direction and development of the Dilico Health & Wellness services in the alignment with the Agency’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A diploma in Business Administration, Health or Nursing coupled with three (3) or more years' leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Completion of a university degree in Health, Nursing, Health Care Management, or related management field is preferred.
- Familiarity with regional health services in the Thunder Bay area and medical software systems considered an asset.
- Three (3) years or more of demonstrated ability to design, implement and manage health programs and services.
- Knowledge of primary health care systems and primary care models is a must.
- Candidates without the specific education qualifications, but who possess an appropriate combination of child welfare experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Search.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as determined by the Program Manager or Director of Health and Wellness in relation to service requirements.
- Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle.
Hours of Work: 35 weekly
