Seeking a Senior Android Engineer with 5+ years of native Android development experience to build and evolve scalable mobile Design Systems and reusable UI components. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose, with experience in modern Android architecture, application performance, automated testing, and AI-assisted development using Claude Code.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop native Android applications and reusable Design System components using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Build and maintain scalable UI components, patterns, and technical documentation.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
- Implement unit tests, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize application performance.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable software releases.
- Use Claude Code, custom skills, and prompt-based workflows to improve development efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional native Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining Design Systems, shared UI libraries, or reusable mobile components.
- Strong understanding of Android architecture, design patterns, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks, code reviews, Git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitrise, or CircleCI.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and Graph APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, including creating or modifying skills and using prompts to support engineering workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
