You’ll join an established boutique CPA firm in Etobicoke working with owner-managed businesses, professionals and individuals across a varied client base.
The practice is focused on accounting, tax and business advisory rather than audit, so you’ll get broad exposure without being pushed into an assurance-heavy role.

What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare compilation engagements and year-end working paper files
- Prepare financial statements and year-end adjusting entries
- Prepare T1 personal and T2 corporate income tax returns
- Gain exposure to T3 trust returns
- Work with investment income, rental income and self-employment situations
- Prepare corporate tax schedules relating to investment activity
- Prepare HST returns
- Assist with T4/T5 and payroll-related filings where required
- Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve outstanding items
- Assist with CRA correspondence and compliance matters
- Work across a varied portfolio of privately owned businesses and professionals
What they’re looking for:
- 2–5 years of Canadian public accounting experience
- Experience preparing T1 and T2 returns
- Compilation and year-end accounting experience
- T3/trust return experience would be an asset
- Experience preparing HST returns
- Payroll experience would be an asset
- Working knowledge of Canadian income tax
- Experience with owner-managed or privately held businesses
- Exposure to different industries would be beneficial
- CaseWare experience
- QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop experience
- Experience with Profile, TaxPrep, TaxCycle, Cantax or similar Canadian tax software
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines during tax season
- Confident communicating directly with clients
- CPA designated, pursuing CPA or experienced without the designation can all be considered
