Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This role involves supporting clients and lenders with accurate cost advice, project monitoring, and contract compliance. You’ll work across multiple projects and collaborate closely with developers, contractors, and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Monitor project costs, progress claims, and change orders
- Assist with lender-side reporting and draw reviews
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and loan conditions
- Contribute to internal process improvement and documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Must be a permanent resident of Canada
- 3–7 years of experience in cost consulting or quantity surveying
- Strong understanding of Canadian construction contracts and procurement practices
- Proficiency in Excel and cost estimating software
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Experience with lender reporting and CMHC requirements is an asset
- Professional designation (CIQS or MRICS) preferred but not required
