Summary
DMC is currently looking for a
Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis, based in
Sudbury, Ontario . The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout the supply chain, including procurement, inventory control and warehousing. This role requires strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate across departments to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure efficiency in the flow of materials and products.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing and distributing materials.
- Work closely with the procurement team to negotiate contracts and establish long-term supplier relationships.
- Develop and enforce policies for warehouse cleanliness, organization and safety.
- Carry out routine inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, compliance and quality.
- Work closely with production, finance and other departments to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
- Manage logistic operations and challenges.
- Develop and execute strategies to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Use software and tools to predict trends, plan purchases and align with market demands.
- Implement strategies for cost reduction, process optimization and risk mitigation across the supply chain.
- Maintain effective inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Analyze data and generate reports to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and promote smooth operations.
- Create requisitions in Microsoft D365.
- Make Emergency pickups at various vendors across greater Sudbury.
- Unload transports and incoming deliveries as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management or warehousing.
- Proficiency with supply chain and inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365, excel) and strong data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Equipment Experience (e.g. Forklift, Telehandler, loader).
- Valid Class G Driver’s License.
- High knowledge of industrial material, parts and processes.
- Strong Safety Culture.
- Experience working in an industrial setting.
- Must be a multitasker, organized, and versatile team player.
Additional Information
- We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.
- Salary Range is expected to be between: $70,000 to 85,000 CAD (including hourly incentive bonus).
