MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANT / FINANCIAL ANALYST

You know inventory. You understand costing. You've been involved in month-end, budgets and forecasts. You can look at a variance and know there is probably a story behind it.

That's the person I'm looking for.
I'm recruiting for a multi-site manufacturing organization in Toronto that needs someone who can connect
accounting, financial analysis and what's actually happening in the operation.
You'll work closely with the Controller and plant leadership, digging into
inventory, cost accounting, manufacturing costs, margins, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and operational performance.
This isn't about having the perfect title or coming from a big corporate FP&A department.
It's about having a strong accounting foundation, understanding
how a manufacturing business works, and being curious enough to get out from behind the spreadsheet and find the answer.
What You Bring
- Hands-on accounting experience in manufacturing
- Experience with inventory, costing/cost accounting and month-end
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis or variance analysis
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Comfortable working directly with operations and plant leadership
- Curious, adaptable and willing to dig into the details
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred. CPA/CMA, Sage 300, Power BI/Tableau, multi-entity reporting and standard costing experience are assets.
You don't need to have followed the traditional Financial Analyst career path.
You do need to understand manufacturing, understand the numbers - and want to know
why they're telling you what they're telling you.
