Non-Ferrous Metal Buyer

DMS Metals Ltd - a full-service scrap metals recycler with multiple locations (i.e. scrap-yards) throughout the GTA! We are looking for an experienced Non-Ferrous Buyer for our TORONTO LOCATION!

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for purchasing non-ferrous scrap metals from the public and various industrial accounts.

Required:

• Experience in scrap metal recycling (i.e. particularly non-ferrous metals)
• Experience in operating a forklift
• Stellar customer service skills
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work well with others, safely, as a member of a team

Job Description:

• Interacting and communicating clearly and directly with customers and employees during the purchasing process.
• Responsible for accurately grading and weighing Non-Ferrous metals, and directing other employees in the Non-Ferrous receiving warehouse.
• Responsible for accurately weighing and tagging material to be input into DMS’ Inventory System (i.e. Mayer).
• Will be involved with trying to improve quality, service, and operational efficiencies of all non-ferrous related functions and processes.
• Will be required to assist throughout the non-ferrous warehouse and/or yard as needed or assigned.
• Assisting with preparing shipments and receiving equipment using a forklift as required.
