THE JOB: Salesforce Administrator
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $70,856 - $88,570
Reporting to the Manager, CRM & Digital Intake Platforms, the Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, enhancement, and support of the Salesforce platform.
Working closely with the Senior Salesforce Administrator, business stakeholders, and technical teams, this role translates business requirements into effective Salesforce configurations and enhancements while maintaining platform reliability, security, data quality, and usability.
The Salesforce Administrator supports platform maintenance, user and access management, workflow automation, testing, releases, integrations, data activities, documentation, and user adoption. The role independently manages routine and moderately complex Salesforce work while collaborating with the Senior Salesforce Administrator and other technical resources on complex solution design, integrations, architecture, and technical escalations.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Salesforce functionality, including Flows, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic forms, apps, actions, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
- Administer users, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, sharing rules, and other access controls.
- Perform routine platform maintenance, release-readiness activities, health checks, data-quality monitoring, and configuration reviews.
- Troubleshoot configuration, automation, data, access, and user issues, escalating complex technical issues to the Senior Salesforce Administrator or appropriate technical resource.
- Support development, testing, and deployment of Salesforce enhancements across sandbox, test, and production environments.
- Participate in Salesforce integrations with other enterprise applications and digital intake platforms.
- Support data migration, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and ongoing data-quality activities.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Create and maintain configuration documentation, process flows, release documentation, technical notes, and user guides.
- Provide Salesforce user support, training, and guidance.
- Monitor platform usage and identify opportunities to increase adoption and improve the user experience.
- Support incident resolution and production troubleshooting.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities and collaborate with project, business, and technical teams.
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery
- Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes, requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Translate requirements into Salesforce configuration and functional specifications.
- Recommend appropriate use of existing Salesforce capabilities and established platform patterns.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve automation.
- Participate throughout the solution lifecycle, including requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with the Senior Salesforce Administrator on complex requirements and solutions requiring broader technical or architectural consideration.
- Work with other Business Applications and technology teams where solutions involve integrations or cross-platform dependencies.

WHAT YOU BRING
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, preferably within an enterprise environment.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification required or strongly preferred.
- Platform App Builder, Advanced Administrator, or Service Cloud Consultant certifications are assets.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud; experience with Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including Flow, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, permissions, reports, and dashboards.
- Good understanding of Salesforce security and access concepts, including profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and organization-wide defaults.
- Experience troubleshooting Salesforce configuration, automation, data, security, and user issues.
- Experience supporting Salesforce releases, sandbox environments, testing, and deployments.
- Experience with data migration, data quality, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations, APIs, middleware, ERP, document management, or other enterprise applications is an asset.
- General understanding of Apex and Lightning development concepts sufficient to troubleshoot issues and collaborate effectively with developers and technical specialists.
- Strong analytical, business-analysis, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage assigned work while collaborating effectively with senior technical resources.
- Experience working in Agile or similar delivery environments.
