Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB for Large and Small Diameter Drillers, Forepersons, Front Enders, and Labourers. Team members will operate and support drilling equipment, assist with setup and breakdown of drilling sites, and help install piles, anchors, and related ground support systems in accordance with project specifications. Daily tasks include safely handling materials, performing basic measurements, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following all site and company safety procedures. Forepersons will coordinate crews, monitor productivity and quality, complete required documentation, and communicate with site supervision. All roles will work closely with other crew members, respond to changing site conditions, and support the successful completion of piling and ground improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and related ground construction activities.
- Knowledge of drilling operations, including large and small diameter drilling techniques.
- Familiarity with directional drilling methods and the ability to follow technical guidance.
- Experience with site inspection, equipment checks, and basic quality control procedures.
- Background in oil & gas, industrial construction, or civil infrastructure is an asset.
- Commitment to safety, with the ability to follow and reinforce safe work practices and procedures.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, perform manual labour, and handle tools and materials.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to take direction and support crew leads.
- Relevant tickets or certifications (e.g., CSTS, First Aid, equipment operator tickets) are considered beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Calgary, AB job sites.
