Are you an experienced HR Generalist, People & Culture Generalist, or Human Resources Advisor with strong employee relations and HR administration experience? This is a newly created position supporting a workforce of approximately 150 employees across the London to GTA region, with a particular focus on the Western business. You’ll work closely with the People & Culture Manager and leadership team while contributing to recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, training and the implementation of a new HRIS.

Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day People & Culture / HR operations across the organization, with a primary focus on the Western business.
- Act as a point of contact for employees and leaders regarding HR policies, procedures, workplace matters and employee questions.
- Support employee relations, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution, investigations, performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders on employee-related matters, escalating complex issues to the People & Culture Manager when appropriate.
- Manage and maintain accurate employee files, HR records and employment documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks and recruitment documentation.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation.
- Administer employee benefits, leaves and related HR documentation.
- Assist with the selection and implementation of a new HRIS, including maintaining accurate employee data and supporting system processes.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics and other information required by leadership.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practices.
- Ensure HR practices align with applicable employment standards, health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance-related documentation.
- Coordinate and support performance review processes.
- Support employee training, development and succession initiatives, including maintaining training records.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, events and internal communications.
- Promote a positive, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
- Partner with the People & Culture Manager and leadership team on ongoing HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR / People & Culture experience.
- Strong experience across multiple HR functions, particularly employee relations and HR administration.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution and workplace investigations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential information.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable working with both hourly and salaried employees.
- Experience supporting unionized and non-unionized environments is an asset.
- CHRP or CHRL designation is preferred.
- Approachable, professional and comfortable building relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Able to work independently while knowing when to escalate more complex employee matters.
- Comfortable working in a growing and evolving organization where processes and systems continue to develop.
