The world makes more clothes than it knows what to do with, and most of them end up in landfills. The bottleneck is sorting. Nobody can quickly and reliably tell what a garment is made of or where it should go next.
Dreamstill is building the intelligence layer for textile sorting. Our computer vision model, Sorty, makes sorting hardware actually work and helps manual sorters move faster. It's in beta testing and training now, and it targets a $6.6 billion global industry with thousands of potential clients.
Let's be real
This will likely not work. Textiles are one of the messiest things you can point a camera at. The industry moves slowly. The regulation that drives demand might not arrive in time. We're small, early, and underfunded.

But we have unshakeable confidence that we're the people who can bring real circularity to fashion. We started with our hands in bins of donated clothing, and we're not stopping.
What you'll do
- Take Sorty from beta to a product facilities can depend on
- Own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap
- Integrate our models with sorting hardware and partner systems
- Work side by side with the founders on product, partnerships, and fundraising
- Build the engineering team when the time comes
Who you are
- High agency. You don't wait for permission, instructions, or perfect conditions.
- High emotional intelligence. You can lead people, handle hard conversations, and stay human when things get chaotic.
- You can code anything, and you'd rather build it yourself than wait for someone else to.
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing, training, and deploying computer vision models
- Strong background in machine learning and algorithmic modelling
- Experience designing and integrating APIs
- Experience integrating software with hardware such as cameras, sensors, conveyors, or robotics
- Full stack fluency across data pipelines, backend, and cloud infrastructure
- Track record of shipping systems that work in messy, real-world environments
- Bonus: experience with edge deployment, multispectral or hyperspectral imaging, or the textile, recycling, or waste sectors
