We are seeking a motivated, well-trained and experienced candidate to work at our one-of-a-kind licensed Children's Centre. We are looking for a dynamic and creative educator for our Infant/Toddler program. If the position start date has passed please still consider applying.
The position would require someone who is alert, joyful and physically fit, to work in a busy and dynamic environment. A creative team player, whose responsibility and conscientiousness would contribute to our caring environment.
- We can assist with transferring a license from another Canadian Province.
- We can support the right candidate with a valid work permit for their permanent residency.
- We offer a 1:3 child to adult ratio with 12 children to ensure quality, personal care.
Qualifications
Other: BC Infant/Toddler Educator or Level 3 or ECE Diploma
Additional Qualifications
- Character traits of a caring, patient, creative and alert person with the ability to take initiative and work well in a team effectively and efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Required Experience
- Infant and Toddler Certification or equal qualifications from another province. Diploma in ECE or Level 3.
- Experience working with children from 6 months to 2.5 years
- Effective teaching skills and strategies tailored to engage young learners.
- Candidate will require a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
- Child First Aid and CPR Certificate or ability to take this one day course.

Salary & Benefits
$31 - $34
Based On
CA$22.00 to CA$25.00 per hour dependent on credentials and experience plus
ECE Wage Enhancement Which Includes
BC ECE wage enhancement for $6/hour
CBT ECE wage enhancement (yearly grant) for $3/hour
Group Health Benefits package available (after probationary period)
Additional Information
Location: We are located at 818 12th street, in the small mountain community of Invermere within walking distance to Lake Windermere and the Columbia River, in beautiful British Columbia. The area offers an abundance of outdoor activities including alpine and water sports.
Our Facility: The facility is a renovated heritage building on two large treed lots with a climber, hammock swings, sand box, grassy yard, run bikes, bunny to visit the children, music, water play, and bubbles, etc. We have an on-site gym for all three age groups to use. The Infant and Toddler room has a custom wood climber, three cozy rooms, and a variety of play and learning materials such as; instruments, sensory table, kitchen, puzzles, toys, large lego table etc. The teachers plan fun, engaging activities each day to enhance learning and creative exploration.
