Original job description

As a Product Structural-Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of next-generation Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) that support AI, high-performance computing, and data center applications. In addition to leading product development through the full product lifecycle, you will specialize in advanced finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity, shipping durability, and seismic performance. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about combining innovative product design with advanced simulation and analysis.

What's in it For You

Day 1 Coverage: Employer-paid comprehensive benefits, including dental, prescription drug, vision, paramedical coverage, and a $1,000 annual Health Spending Account.
RRSP: 2% employer-sponsored contribution.
Three weeks of vacation, six flex days, and a one-week company-wide holiday shutdown.
$1,000 annual professional development allowance.
Dress for your day in a casual, professional environment.
Opportunity to develop industry-leading cooling technologies for the world's most advanced computing environments.

What You Will Do

Lead the design and development of Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) through the full New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.
Develop and evaluate design concepts through feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
Perform detailed mechanical design using principles of structural mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid systems engineering.
Conduct advanced finite element simulations to assess structural integrity, shipping performance, and seismic response.
Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, technical reports, and design documentation.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, customers, and industry partners to deliver innovative products on schedule.
Support product certification, validation testing, and production readiness activities.
Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
Drive continuous improvements that enhance reliability, manufacturability, performance, and cost effectiveness.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and technical standards.
