ECOFEL Seeks Subject Matter Expert for New Risk-Based Approaches and National Risk Assessments eLearning Course
ECOFEL is pleased to announce a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of an eLearning course as part of the ECOFEL Certification Program.
Introduction to the Risk-Based Approach (RBA) and National Risk Assessments (NRA): This course aims to strengthen participants' understanding of key AML/CFT concepts and their practical application.
Background
The Egmont Group (EG) is a global organization comprising more than 180 Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs), supported by the Egmont Group Secretariat (EGS) in Ottawa, Canada.
The Egmont Centre of FIU Excellence and Leadership (ECOFEL) serves as the operational arm of the EG, delivering capacity-building and technical assistance initiatives that strengthen FIU capabilities, excellence, and leadership.
The ECOFEL Certification Program (ECP) is designed to empower FIUs globally by providing foundational and operational knowledge needed to combat financial crime and support compliance with international AML/CFT standards.
Job Requirements
ECOFEL is accepting proposals from qualified Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the development of this eLearning course.
Successful applicants will be required to follow the ECOFEL eLearning Course Development Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the SOP for SMEs, which outline course development requirements, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
Applicants should carefully review all documentation before applying, as compliance with these frameworks is mandatory and essential to ensuring the course meets ECOFEL's high standards and the needs of FIUs worldwide.

Applicants must review the ECOFEL eLearning Course Development SOP and the SOP for SMEs attached to this RFP thoroughly before applying, as they outline mandatory deliverables, timelines, and quality standards required for this role.
All submissions must be sent to ecofel.careers@egmontsecretariat.org no later than October 16, 2026. Applications received after the deadline may not be considered.
