Our client, a well-established organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team near Cambridge, ON. This is a full-time, stand-alone accounting position offering the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function and oversee the organization’s financial records.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver financial reports to support management decision-making
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis
- Maintain precise financial records through consistent and accurate data entry
- Administer Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Coordinate and submit all required government filings, including HST and payroll remittances
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Act as a point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and external partners, providing timely and professional assistance
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
