🏭 About the Opportunity
Our client is a thriving manufacturing company based in North York, Ontario, and we're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. 💼 What You'll Do
- 📊 Analyze production costs, margins, and manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead)
- 📈 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
- 🏗️ Partner with plant/operations leadership to support cost control and efficiency initiatives
- 💰 Support budgeting, cost accounting, and inventory valuation processes
- 🔍 Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- 🧾 Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support
- 🖥️ Work within Sage ERP (Sage X3 or similar) to extract, manage, and analyze financial data
- 🤝 Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and senior management
✅ What You Bring
- 🎓 Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 🏅 CPA designation (or actively working towards it) preferred - CMA/CGA background also valued
- ⏳ 4–7 years of progressive financial analysis experience
- 🏭 Manufacturing/production environment experience is a must (food manufacturing is a plus, not required)
- 💻 Hands-on experience with Sage ERP systems strongly preferred
- 📐 Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- 🧠 Sharp analytical mind with excellent attention to detail
- 🗣️ Strong communication skills - comfortable presenting findings to non-finance stakeholders
