Ember is looking for a permanent Coil Tubing Assistant to join our field operations team in Central Alberta, who can operate in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role supports our Coil Tubing operations in safe and efficient execution of our shallow coil tubing and well intervention operations on company-owned assets. The ideal candidate is a hardworking team player with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and strong commitment to safety. Duties include:
- Assist with the rig-up and rig-down of coil tubing equipment and support units.
- Support shallow coil tubing and well intervention operations in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Preform routine well maintenance activities on company-operated wells including but not limited to well servicing, inspections, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance.
- Perform equipment inspections, maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping.
- Safely load, unload, secure and transport equipment and materials.
- Operate hand and power tools as required.
- Maintain equipment readiness and assist with preventative maintenance programs.
- Participate in pre-job meetings, hazard assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Complete all required field documentation and reports accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Promote a positive safety culture and maintain professional working relationships with team members and other operational groups.

Essential Experience & Skills:
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement required, Class 1 an asset.
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Valid H2S Alive and First Aid
- Experience in shallow coil tubing, pressure pumping, well servicing, production operations, or other oilfield service activities.
- Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs (23kg) on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
