ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an AWS DevOps & Integration Engineer to deploy and support the AWS environments our customers run on, and to help our developers get new technologies working cleanly across cloud and on-premises systems. Working under the DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Lead, you'll own customer-facing AWS infrastructure, keep it secure, support our EMERES web applications wherever they run, and act as the integration point when developers need infrastructure to test something new against.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deploy and support AWS environments for customers, including EC2, Site-to-Site VPNs, and other core AWS services
- Manage and monitor the security of cloud environments, following industry best practices
- Deploy and support EMERES web applications on-premises and in the cloud, using Docker, PostgreSQL, and other technologies under Linux
- Assist developers with integration testing of new technologies in cloud and on-premises Linux and Windows environments, such as database replication tools
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines used to deploy customer and internal environments
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting across customer and internal infrastructure
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and integration issues across cloud, on-premises, Linux, and Windows environments
- Document environment setups, integrations, and runbooks so customers and teammates can rely on them
- Partner with the DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Lead and engineering teams to improve deployment speed and reliability
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience with AWS and other cloud providers
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with SQL database engines such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments
- Comfortable working in both cloud and on-premises environments, including Windows• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VPNs (e.g., Site-to-Site VPN configuration)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working directly with customers and developers Nice to Have
- Experience with database replication tools and strategies
- Scripting ability (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
