About Enchanted Hope Foundation
Enchanted Hope Foundation is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing comfort, representation and hope to children living with cancer and serious illnesses.
Through our Enchanted Hope Collection of children’s books and character plushies, we help children see themselves represented in stories created around experiences they may be living through - while providing something comforting, positive and joyful during difficult times.
Our goal is to make these resources more accessible to children and families by expanding our partnerships with hospitals, healthcare communities and organizations across Ontario.
As we grow, we are building a passionate team of volunteers who want to help create meaningful change for children and families.
About the Junior Board
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Junior Board Members to join Enchanted Hope Foundation.
This is an unpaid volunteer leadership opportunity for individuals who want to contribute their time, skills, ideas and connections to help grow our organization.
Junior Board Members will work alongside Enchanted Hope’s leadership team to support fundraising, events, community outreach, sponsorships, partnerships and other initiatives that help us reach more children.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector while contributing to a meaningful cause.
What You May Be Involved In
Depending on your interests and skills, Junior Board Members may help with:
- Fundraising initiatives and campaigns
- Planning and supporting fundraising events
- Corporate sponsorship and partnership outreach
- Community engagement and relationship building
- Social media and marketing initiatives
- Grant research and fundraising opportunities
- Volunteer recruitment and engagement
- Community outreach and kindness initiatives
- Promoting the Enchanted Hope Collection
- Helping develop new fundraising ideas and community initiatives
- Supporting the planning and growth of our annual gala
- Representing Enchanted Hope Foundation at selected community events
- Connecting Enchanted Hope with businesses, organizations and community groups
You do not need to have previous nonprofit or board experience. We are looking for people who are dependable, enthusiastic, collaborative and willing to contribute.
Time Commitment
This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of at least 4–6 hours per month.
There may be additional time commitments around major fundraising events, campaigns or projects, depending on your involvement.
Junior Board Members will be expected to attend occasional virtual meetings and participate in projects throughout the year.
Location
Remote / Hybrid
Most Junior Board work can be completed remotely.
Some in-person participation in the Greater Toronto Area will be encouraged and may be required for certain activities, including fundraising events, community events, meetings or other Enchanted Hope initiatives.
We understand that volunteers have different schedules, and we will work together to determine where each Junior Board Member can contribute most effectively.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about helping children and families
- Reliable and committed to following through on responsibilities
- Comfortable communicating with others
- Collaborative and positive
- Interested in fundraising, community engagement or nonprofit work
- Willing to contribute ideas and take initiative
- Professional and respectful when representing Enchanted Hope Foundation
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
We welcome people from a variety of professional, educational and community backgrounds.
Experience in fundraising, marketing, business, events, communications, healthcare, education, community development or nonprofit work is an asset, but not required.

This Is a Volunteer Position
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
Junior Board Members are volunteering their time and skills to support the mission and growth of Enchanted Hope Foundation. There is no salary or monetary compensation associated with this role.
We are looking for people who genuinely want to contribute and be part of building something meaningful.
