Engineered Air offers our Technical Trainees an extensive training program throughout the first two (2) years of employment. This program allows our Technical Trainees to rotate throughout the company's manufacturing, design, and technical service departments in Calgary, providing trainees with a broad knowledge of our business. Upon successful completion of the training program, Technical Trainees will be placed into one of these departments where they have the opportunity for further growth, promotion and the potential of joining Technical Sales. In addition, the Calgary main office offers an on-site fitness facility, gymnasium, and free parking.
Responsibilities
Design
- Utilize technical problem solving to design a wide variety of custom HVAC equipment.
- Communicate with Technical Sales personnel to confirm requirements of customized HVAC equipment.
- Create design packages to detail the following:
- Performance data, construction data and specifications of the equipment.
- Mechanical drawings, hydronic and refrigeration schematics
- Electrical schematics complete with a sequence of operation
- Detailed bill of materials
Manufacturing Facilities
- Hands on work utilizing power tools and equipment
- Manufacture and test equipment according to design package, performance data and specifications
- Follow manufacturing production directives
Technical Services
- Work alongside and observe the Service Technician supporting our customers with the following:
- Equipment start-up assistance
- Operational checks
- Troubleshooting HVAC equipment and systems
- Owner/contractor training
- Work is completed onsite which includes mechanical rooms, rooftops or alongside buildings
Qualifications Required
- Currently attending or completed a mechanical or electrical degree/diploma program.
Skills Required
- Demonstrate adaptability while working within strict deadlines
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work in a team environment and have strong people skills
- The ability to work independently and be a self-starter
