Job Purpose
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly environments within facilities operated by the Enoch Cree Nation-Education Department (ECN). This entry-level position supports the daily cleaning and upkeep of school buildings, offices, and community spaces to ensure they remain welcoming and functional for students, staff, and community members. The custodial team to ensure facilities are maintained according to established cleanliness and safety standards. This role contributes to the overall upkeep of ECN-Education Department facilities by performing routine cleaning duties, assisting with building preparation for events or programs, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
Education, Experience And Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial services, cleaning, or building maintenance is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
Previous experience in custodial services, cleaning, or building maintenance is considered an asset.
- Monday-Friday, hours may vary per program (Essential Service)
- 10-month-based employee, with summers off per the annual operational calendar.
- 12-month based employee, will have accrual-based vacation hours on an annual basis
- Work occurs within community facilities.
- The role may require physical activity including walking, standing, and cleaning tasks.
- Occasional lifting and moving of objects. equipment. or supplies may be required as part of daily operations.
- Some evening or weekend work may be required depending on facility use.
