Role Description
The Technical Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This is a technical position and requires experience in analytical instrumentation, preferably in the hydrocarbon industry. This position is responsible for promoting Envent’s analyzer solutions, managing the full sales cycle, and building long-term relationships with customers in the energy sector. Day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, preparing proposals and quotations, conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to develop suitable solutions. The role also involves providing pre- and post-sale technical support, responding to customer inquiries, coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system. The Technical Sales Specialist is expected to stay current on industry trends and product developments to effectively advise customers and support business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience in analytical instrumentation required.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
- Technical Support capabilities, with a solid understanding of analyzer systems or similar technical products.
- Relevant education in engineering, science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in the energy or instrumentation industry.
- Ability to work on-site in Calgary, AB, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and occasionally travel to customer locations.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office, and basic data analysis; strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a high level of service and support.
Compensation
$75,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience.
Uncapped commission.
Company vehicle provided once past probation.
