Senior Real Estate Law Clerk (In-House)
Confidential search by Envy Consulting
Location: London, Ontario (on site)
Salary: $90,000 to $110,000
Are you a senior real estate law clerk ready to move in-house? Envy Consulting is recruiting on behalf of an established, privately owned real estate development company in London, Ontario. This is a confidential search. You'll be the senior legal and transactional resource on the development team. You'll handle deals from first due diligence through closing, and you'll see the work through to finished communities. There's no docketing and no billable hours. You'll work directly with senior leadership, external legal counsel, municipalities, lenders, and builders.
What you'll do
- Manage acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and leasing files from due diligence through closing and closing records
- Prepare and track agreements of purchase and sale, amendments, waivers, assignments, statements of adjustment, requisition letters, and registration materials for review by counsel
- Run title searches, ownership verification, and Land Titles registrations using Teranet and GeoWarehouse
- Track conditions, obligations, deposits, payments, and critical dates, and report status to senior management
- Support land development agreements, including subdivision, site plan, consent, easement, cost-sharing, and builder agreements
- Build and improve templates, checklists, tracking systems, and document standards
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience as a real estate law clerk, or in a comparable role, at a law firm, developer, municipality, or corporate real estate group
- A law clerk diploma or a related diploma or degree, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with Ontario Land Titles, Teranet, and GeoWarehouse
- Strong drafting, organization, and deadline management across several files at once
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Nice to have
- Experience with subdivision, site plan, or municipal agreements
- Experience administering consultant, engineering, or construction contracts
- DocuSign, Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar tools
Land development experience is a plus, not a requirement. The company will train strong clerks in this area.
What's offered
- $90,000 to $110,000 base salary
- 3 weeks of vacation plus 10 personal wellness days per year
- Health and dental benefits fully paid by the employer, starting after 90 days
- A senior role with a stable, long-established company
