JOB SUMMARY:
The Logistics & Warehousing Manager manages and directs the activities of the Logistics & Warehousing Department, ensuring that materials are transported to the proper destination in a cost-efficient, timely and efficient manner, as well as managing the receiving, warehousing, and distribution for our internal operations as well as for our 3PLwarehouses network.
JOB TASKS:
- Leads and directs the Logistics and Shipping areas to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods to internal and external customers
- Coordinates warehouse facilities to ensure integrated warehouse and Logistics. strategies while minimizing inventory cost
- Ensures high-quality movement of finished goods from production facilities to the customer
- Review and approve cost control reports, cost estimates, and plant requirement forecasts.
- Establishes, and maintains appropriate commercial relationships with carriers, identifies the best suppliers for price, quality and delivery.
- Negotiates service and savings agreements with carriers.
- Monitors, plans, and directs the operation of the Warehousing group.
- Liaises with all 3rd party Warehouses ensuring that inventory accuracy is maintained and processes are followed to meet customers’ expectations
- Oversee the year end physical inventory is completed as per requirement
- Participates as a HACCP and/or Food Defense team member, as requested by the applicable SQF Practitioner, to support product safety requirements as outlined in the Management System.
- Prepares monthly reports for Senior Management
- Ensures compliance with all safety standards
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings
- Completes employee’s payroll
- Prepares and delivers performance appraisals.
- Perform other duties as required by their Senior Manager.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Abides by all Emmerson Packaging’s Management System policies, follows procedures, work instructions and other requirements including adherence to EH&S Act regulations.
- Obligation to take any necessary steps/actions to continue adherence to the Management System (quality and environmental). If the necessary steps are outside assigned authority, there is an obligation to bring the issue to his/her supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Secondary school (High School) diploma, or equivalent
- Experience with SAP
- Must have proven strong technical knowledge of supply chain management
PREFERRED:
- Business degree with a specialization in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Professional APICA or PMAC certification
- Five (5) years’ management experience in Warehousing and/or Logistics.
