The JD Edwards Application Manager role is part of the organization’s JDE E1 team. The role works directly with business users, process owners, management, and IT/IS teams to support Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and related integrated applications.
This position leads support, enhancements, configuration, business process changes, functional specifications, testing, user manuals, training documentation, and business consultancy across manufacturing, procurement, supply chain planning, and related modules.
The Team Lead provides change leadership, functional expertise, and team oversight to help deliver effective solutions, optimize business processes, and maintain service levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead support and enhancement activities for JDE E1 applications across non-finance areas, and implement processes and structures that provide high-quality service to internal customers.
- Monitor issues, identify root causes and trends, and propose and implement solutions to improve system performance, stability, and usability.
- Manage the JDE E1 Functional team, including onshore and offshore resources, and promote thoroughness, accountability, process adherence, and balanced workload distribution.
- Serve as a key liaison between the JDE E1 end-user community and IT/IS teams.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes through improved use of existing system capabilities or changes to system functionality.
- Assist with project management by organizing work assignments, establishing deadlines, and monitoring progress.
- Communicate regularly across the organization to ensure business and user needs are understood and addressed.
- Facilitate solution development by combining knowledge of business processes, system capabilities, technology options, and process improvement techniques.
- Evaluate solution options, risks, resource requirements, business impacts, and system priorities.
- Help develop a roadmap that integrates solutions across business areas.
- Lead the identification and resolution of process, system, and data gaps or inconsistencies.
- Remain accountable for successful execution as solutions are implemented and transitioned into regular operations.
- Guide the team through problem definition, issue identification, solution development, and work plan execution.
- Coach and mentor team members and support knowledge-sharing activities.
- Plan and support the definition, documentation, categorization, and packaging of business requirements for projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with business and IT management, vendors, and partners on project-related matters.
- Lead discussions on strategic direction, best-fit alternatives, and alignment of IT plans with business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of functional analyst experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne functional areas.
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading a team.
- Manufacturing environment experience is an asset.
- Experience with manufacturing, procurement, inventory management, shop floor management, supply chain planning, forecasting, and order-to-cash modules and processes.
- Basic knowledge of additional JDE modules is an asset.
- Experience with acquisitions, full life cycle implementations, and project management.
- Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement involving broad-based information systems.
- Experience using advanced tools and techniques to support business change.
