How You Will Make an Impact:
You will be responsible for inspecting and assessing damaged or worn tires on vehicles, replace or repair damaged tires, and balance or rotate tires. Please note that this is a contract position.
The hourly wage for this role is $19.96. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. As a Tire Technician, you will:
- Repair, balance, remove and install tires
- Shunt vehicles from plants to workshops
- Process inventory and label tires into storage trailers
- Filling out required paperwork for vehicle documentation
- Comply with all safety procedures by taking an active approach to accident prevention
- Assist mechanics with other workshop duties as needed
- May need to complete other duties as required and assigned by management
About you:
- Must be available to work Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Highly motivated and able to work well independently
- Physically able to carry out the duties of the position such as lifting tires and continuous movement throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management & customer service skills
- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing
- Professionalism to emphasize the customers “Respect for the individual”
