Role Description The Material Analyst/Planner/CSR is a full-time, on-site role located in Newmarket, ON. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating material requirements based on production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring materials are available to meet customer and production demands. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing material usage, preparing purchase requirements, and collaborating with production and purchasing teams to resolve material issues. The role also involves communicating with customers and internal stakeholders on order status, delivery timelines, and material availability, while proactively addressing potential delays. The individual in this role supports continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management, production planning, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecast material needs, and support decision-making.
- Experience in Inventory Control and Materials Management to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Production Planning skills to align material requirements with manufacturing schedules and capacity.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments is an asset.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, operations management, or a related field is beneficial.
