We are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Continuous Improvement Specialist either as a full time or if desired, a 6-month, in-office contract, to help identify opportunities, improve business processes, and support practical adoption of AI and automation technologies across the organization.
Primary Role
Reporting to the Manager – QEHS & Continuous Improvement, the AI Continuous Improvement Specialist will collaborate with teams across the organization to identify process improvement opportunities and develop practical AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization.
- Facilitate process discovery sessions and collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and priorities.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled tools, workflow automations, and business solutions.
- Configure and support solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies (Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, etc.), ChatGPT, Claude, or other approved business tools.
- Partner with business leaders and employees to ensure solutions align with operational needs and Measure solution effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
- Develop user documentation, training materials, and best practices to support adoption.
- Deliver training, coaching, and support, to help employees effectively leverage AI and automation technologies.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend practical applications that support business objectives.
- Support continuous improvement, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
Required qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in process improvement, business systems, automation, software development, data analytics, AI solutions, or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes and developing practical technology-based solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with AI technologies, workflow automation, low-code development platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft applications: Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams, and experience with other AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
- Experience with Python, SQL, APIs, Azure AI services, or data visualization tools.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, project-based, or operational environments.
- Knowledge of responsible AI, data governance, and information security principles.

Location: Calgary, Alberta
This role will work from our Calgary office and will involve collaboration across office, manufacturing, and operational environments. Occasional travel may be required.
