About the role

We’re seeking an HR Coordinator to join our HR team and serve as the backbone of our fast-scaling organization. You’ll manage people operations, assist with core HR tasks, manage our beautiful new office, and help craft memorable culture-building events as we double headcount over the next year! This role is 4 days in office.

What You'll Do

HR Operations

Assist with onboarding and off-boarding tasks
Maintain employee files on Rippling, HRIS data integrity, and compliance calendars.
Assist with policy updates, employee-relations documentation, and ad-hoc audits.
Support the Talent team with adhoc tasks

Culture & Events

Assist the HR Director and HR Manager with planning and executing quarterly all-hands, virtual team-building activities, volunteer days, and the annual company retreats
Support coordination of swag, milestone celebrations, and recognition programs.
Liaise with the Talent and Operations teams for new initiatives

Office Management

Coordinate and communicate with office suppliers, vendors and contractors
Be the first point of contact for office-related questions and requests
Fulfill and ensure our workspaces are equipped with office supplies
Take the lead of our snack program, ensuring our people are fueled and that our spaces are replenished
Support front-of-office support, welcoming guests and candidates
Communicate internally regarding office updates in the Vancouver, New York and Toronto office

What You'll Bring

1-2 years of HR assistant/coordination, office management, or other operational experience in a fast paced environment.
Solid understanding of HR fundamentals (onboarding, employment law, employee engagement, organizational compliance)
Stellar organizational skills - you juggle many moving parts without dropping the ball.
You thrive in an ambiguous environment and love building structure
Clear, empathetic communication style that builds trust with candidates and colleagues.

Compensation: Base salary $75,000 CAD - $80,000 CAD based on level and experience.
