Tooling Manager - Tier 1 Automotive

Our client, a Tier 1 Canadian Manufacturer in the automotive industry, is looking to hire an experienced Tooling Manager for their North End GTA Plant.
Duties and Tasks of this Position:
- Manage Tool & Die Department
- Manage day to day tooling operations
- Mentor, support and manage the tooling team
- Supervise tool setup for product changes
- Oversees the maintenance and repair of dies, jigs, tools etc
- Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution for issues on the line as required
- Estimations for design, build and setup for manufacture of new components
Experience/Skills Required:
- Tool and Die Certified or relevant post-secondary education
- Min of 8 years experience in stamping / tool and die roles
- Minimum 4 years experience in automotive manufacturing
- Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory or management role
- Strong background in metal stamping, including manual, progressive, and transfer dies and welding
- Experienced with maintenance of metal stamping and welding equipment
