Role Description The Senior Travel Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Burnaby BC, responsible for guiding clients through the entire travel planning process. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients to understand their travel preferences, designing customized cruise and vacation itineraries, and managing bookings and reservations. The role involves providing detailed information on destinations, travel requirements, and available promotions, while ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up. The Senior Travel Advisor will handle inquiries in person, by phone, and online, maintain client records in company systems, and collaborate with colleagues to meet sales and service goals. This position also includes monitoring post-booking details, addressing changes or issues, and supporting clients before and after travel to promote a positive overall experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a track record of building positive client relationships.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients, partners, and team members.
- Demonstrated expertise in Travel Arrangements and experience working in a Travel Agency or similar travel services environment.
- Knowledge of cruise and land vacation products, travel documentation requirements, and basic geography of major destinations.
- Comfort with booking and CRM software, online research tools, and standard office applications.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Burnaby, BC, including some evenings or weekends based on business needs.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple client itineraries simultaneously.
- Previous experience in a senior advisory, sales, or hospitality role is preferred; relevant certifications in travel or tourism are an asset.
