Senior Marketing Program Specialist
Introduction to the Team
Expedia Cruises is a retail travel business serving travelers through a large-scale network of more than 270 travel agencies and 7,500 Vacation Consultants. The team combines local expertise with Expedia Group’s travel technology, partnerships, and marketing capabilities to help customers plan memorable journeys.
Make an Impact
As the Senior Marketing Program Specialist, you will lead partner marketing programs that help franchisees, agency leaders, and Vacation Consultants execute effective local marketing. You will shape and scale the tools, resources, programs, and operating practices that enable local teams to generate demand, engage customers, and maximize their return on marketing investment.
Working closely with the broader marketing organization and subject matter experts, you will translate enterprise priorities into practical, measurable programs across email, web, social media, events, direct mail, and in-store marketing. This is an opportunity to influence local lead generation, customer engagement, and revenue while helping evolve how partner marketing operates across the network.
About You
You are a commercially minded, customer-focused marketer with experience supporting or leading marketing within a large-scale retail, franchise, partner, or distributed sales network. You understand how to enable many local businesses or field teams to execute consistently while tailoring programs to local market needs.
You are an experienced leader who can set direction, build alignment, and drive execution through influence. You bring a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, developing scalable processes, coaching others, and improving the adoption and effectiveness of marketing programs.
You are equally comfortable shaping strategy, presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders, creating clear enablement materials, and navigating the operational details behind a campaign. You build trusted relationships, communicate with clarity, use data to guide decisions, and remain adaptable in a dynamic environment. A passion for travel and an appreciation for the role of local expertise in customer experiences are a natural fit for this role.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of partner marketing programs that enable franchisees and Vacation Consultants to execute effective local marketing.
- Establish scalable frameworks, standards, best practices, toolkits, documentation, templates, and playbooks for local digital, print, direct mail, and in-store marketing across a distributed retail network.
- Serve as a marketing subject matter expert to franchisees and agency leaders, driving awareness, adoption, training, communications, webinars, leadership presentations, and targeted support.
- Lead the evolution and adoption of online marketing tools, oversee support for the consumer website, and enable local promotions, offers, events, email, social media, direct mail, and other campaign activities.
- Partner with digital, customer relationship management, web, social, events, creative, analytics, and other subject matter experts to coordinate integrated local campaigns, including multi-store events and targeted neighborhood-level activations.
- Use performance data, partner feedback, and market insights to prioritize improvements, measure program effectiveness, communicate recommendations to leadership, simplify processes, improve self-service, and increase the efficiency and scalability of partner marketing operations.
- Lead through influence across a broad stakeholder community, building alignment and accountability without relying solely on direct authority. Coach, mentor, and develop colleagues while contributing to a culture of high performance, collaboration, and customer focus.
Experience And Qualifications
- You have a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- You have six or more years of progressive experience in consumer, retail, partner, franchise, field, or client marketing, including experience operating at a strategic level.
- You have experience working within or supporting a large-scale retail, franchise, partner, or distributed sales network, ideally enabling local operators, stores, agencies, or field teams.
- You have led cross-functional programs, developed scalable operating practices, coached or mentored others, influenced senior stakeholders, and translated enterprise marketing strategies into practical local programs.
- You have experience developing marketing enablement programs, toolkits, training, communications, self-service resources, and online marketing solutions. You are comfortable working with content management systems and platforms that support local campaign execution.
- You have led or overseen digital advertising, print, retail point-of-sale, direct mail, events, and integrated local marketing campaigns, including partnering with design teams and using creative tools to develop, adapt, or review marketing assets.
- You have a strong understanding of partner or field marketing, including adoption, engagement, measurement, governance, and return on marketing investment. You use data and insights to prioritize activity and demonstrate business impact.
- You bring executive presence, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and the adaptability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
