Role Description The Long Haul Truck Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, responsible for operating company trucks to transport freight across regional and long-distance routes. Daily tasks include safely driving and maneuvering trucks, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and unloading cargo as required, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation. The driver adheres to all DOT and company safety regulations, follows designated routes and schedules, and communicates with dispatch to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues on the road. The role also involves basic truck upkeep, reporting maintenance needs, and representing the company professionally in all customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record, with strong truck driving experience.
- Proficiency in operating and handling trucks safely, including long-haul and highway driving.
- Ability to perform unloading tasks and handle freight securely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements related to hours of service, safety, and documentation.
