Senior Java Developer | HR Systems Modernization (SuccessFactors)
We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to play a key role in a large-scale HR transformation initiative. This position will focus on modernizing legacy PeopleSoft functionality and designing custom solutions that integrate with SAP SuccessFactors and other enterprise platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
Business Analysis & Solution Discovery
- Analyze existing PeopleSoft customizations and legacy functionality.
- Partner with HR, business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to understand current business processes and system behavior.
- Identify gaps between current-state functionality and SAP SuccessFactors capabilities.
- Recommend which solutions should be rebuilt, simplified, enhanced, or retired.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, designs, and implementation plans.
Solution Design & Development
- Design, develop, and support enterprise applications using:
- Java / Spring Boot
- Angular
- PostgreSQL
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable applications aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and development best practices.
- Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and lifecycle management for developed solutions.
Integration & Data Management
- Design and implement integrations between SuccessFactors, enterprise systems, and data platforms.
- Develop REST APIs, OData integrations, and scheduled data pipelines.
- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, traceability, and system reliability.
- Support integrations involving HR, payroll, time management, and reporting platforms.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with project teams, integrators, HR stakeholders, and internal IT groups.
- Participate in solution reviews, testing cycles, deployment activities, and post-go-live support.
- Contribute to overall project success through strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Angular or another modern front-end framework.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and enterprise applications.
- Ability to analyze and modernize existing systems you did not originally build.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, security, and design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- PeopleSoft technical or functional experience.
- SAP SuccessFactors experience, including Employee Central, OData/SFAPI, or SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
- Legacy system modernization experience.
- Payroll (ADP) or Workforce Management (UKG/Kronos) integration experience.
- Experience integrating with enterprise data lakes and data warehouses.
