Our client is looking to hire two (2) motivated and talented individuals to support a new project and play a key role in their manufacturing operations. Required Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is considered a strong asset, while a PhD in Power Electronics is highly desirable
- Experience with C programming and other engineering software applications
- Previous experience in semiconductor product testing or applications engineering is considered a strong asset
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly with electronic components and testing equipment, not solely a desk-based role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and high-quality technical reports
- Willingness and aptitude to learn company-specific applications and tools; training will be provided
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a technical team
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform electrical engineering duties and produce accurate, high-quality technical reports
- Conduct device-level analysis of high-power semiconductor components
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis on electrical devices and systems
- Review, compare, and interpret test data to identify trends and variances
- Develop and validate mathematical correlations based on test results
- Test approximately 30 semiconductor devices per week
- Work with and analyze components operating at voltages up to 400V
- Provide internal customer support to R&D and Quality Management teams, including device selection, circuit design and troubleshooting, as well as thermal, electrical, and system-level solution analysis
- Document findings and provide technical recommendations based on analysis results
Compensation
- $70,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience
Contract Length
- 1-year contract position with the potential for an additional one-year extension
Schedule
- Monday to Friday – 8:00am/9:00am to 4:00pm/5:00pm
