Job Description
A post-secondary degree or diploma in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field, OR
Current enrollment in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in such a field. (A certificate of completion or proof of enrollment will be required)
Job Performance
Participate in an effective restorative care program which consistently applies the standards and principles of the OMNI Supportive Measures program.
Participate in and assist with the physical therapy program in the home as required.
Provide input into service and product evaluations to ensure that they meet the required standards of safety and quality and effectively meet the needs of the residents.
Provide assistance and support to facilitate resident’s participation in activities that may be of interest to them if they are not able to do so independently.
Utilize continuous quality improvement tools in order to ensure effective evaluation and continuous improvement of all aspects of care and services.
Utilize Risk Management tools as directed to effectively identify and support the management of actual and potential risks.
