We’re looking for a senior front-end engineer who loves to build and has excellent product intuition. You should have built something in the past and had users using it.
This is a fully remote position. We work flexible hours, but we expect a prolific work ethic. We are obsessed with working harder, longer, and smarter because that's what it takes to win.
Backed by Travis Kalanick, Uber's founder, eXtreme Gammon (XG) is the Stockfish of backgammon. Every competitive backgammon player worldwide relies on us. Backgammon is having a moment, and we believe it's ready for a new era. We're on a mission to "re-found" XG's legendary engine and make backgammon the next generational online game.
Your mission is to own and build the entire front-end experience that surrounds XG's engine: the social, competitive, and training products that players of all levels will fall in love with. You'll bring the game to life with engaging animations and rich visuals that make every move feel satisfying. You'll own the full client surface: developing the web platform from the ground up, and owning the publication and lifecycle of our mobile apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play
This is a greenfield project, where you'll build the whole platform from scratch and have high agency. If you have an affinity for building consumer-facing products, love to ship rapidly, and want to be on the ground floor of backgammon's next renaissance, apply if this excites you.
