The opportunity
We currently have a career opportunity for a Manager - Cyber Threat Readiness in our consulting team to participate in multiple client engagement teams and related activities. As a member, you'll develop, deliver and lead cybersecurity and IT risk client engagements as well as internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish internal and external relationships in public and private sector.
You'll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within new and existing engagements and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you'll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and raise any issues with senior members of the team. In line with EY's commitment to quality, you'll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.
Your key responsibilities:

- Manage the planning, build, execution, analysis, and reporting the results of Cyber Threat Simulation exercises at all levels of the organization: Incident Response, Crisis Management and Board of Directors.
- Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective execution of security initiatives.
- Manage and contribute to the development of cybersecurity playbooks and plans development which includes both technical and advisory work.
- Manage, build and help support the facilitation of cyber response training at different levels of the organization.
- Manage post-incident response and crisis management investigation efforts, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to understand security breaches and provide opportunities for improvement for reduced impact on business operations for future cyber attacks.
- Take full responsibility for tasks, including consistent review of own work to identify and improve an approach for producing high quality work products, while providing supervision to the team.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to continuously enhance the company's cybersecurity posture.
- Prepare weekly status meetings, and monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed for ongoing engagements.
- Prepare detailed financial metrics for ongoing engagements, manage resources utilization, and escalate budgetary risks.
- Demonstrate the ability to continuously learn, incorporate and apply new knowledge in the work environment and remain current on new developments in Consulting services, capabilities and industry knowledge related to:

To qualify for the role you must have:
Desired qualifications include:
- Undergraduate or masters’ degree preferably in one of the following areas: Information Security, Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or other related majors.
- Minimum 5 years knowledge and hands-on experience with key components of cybersecurity such as incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, security governance, network & infrastructure security, risk and compliance, security architecture, data protection and others.
- Solid knowledge of commonly used frameworks and standards used in cybersecurity.
- Proven track record of successful leadership and team management, and leading multiple engagements at the same time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
- Creativity – Exhibit the ability to think creatively and bring new perspectives to the workplace.
- Tech savviness – Interest in learning how to build multi-media content (i.e. videos) for clients and working with new tools to support the delivery of readiness content.
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
- Commitment to fostering a positive work culture and promoting employee development.
- French/ English Bilingual Skills highly preferred

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
- Toronto, Montreal salary range: $114,000 to $171,000 per year
