FARE’s Health and Education department develops and maintains a variety of programs, content, resources, and partnerships to improve the quality of life for all individuals and families facing food allergy, with a focus on advancing health for everyone. An important part of this work is actively engaging and managing volunteers to support community-based initiatives. The Education & Support Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of:
- FARE’s Recognized Support Groups
- Community Outreach Awards
- Teen Advisory Group
- CDC-funded Food Allergy AWARE project
- AAP-funded Food Allergy Management in Schools
- FARE education scholarships and grants
- Monthly Webinars Program
- FARE Education and Food Allergy Academy Inbox
- Administrative support on external Advisory Councils
- Young Adult Food Allergy Social Club
- FARE’s Food Allergy Academy and learning management system
The Program Manager will work closely with FARE’s Medical Director/VP Health and Education on CDC- and AAP-funded projects and will also work across the Education and Community Engagement team to support administrative tasks such as creating meeting agenda, meeting minutes, and meeting presentations on various projects as needed.
The position follows a hybrid work schedule, with employees expected to be in the McLean, Virginia office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
