How you’ll make an impact
Leverage your commercial lending expertise to manage a complex portfolio of agribusiness and agri-food customers and support businesses across the Canadian agri-food value chain.
As a Senior Relationship Manager, Commercial Financing, you’ll build relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders and business executives, develop and market financing packages, and assess complex lending opportunities. Your financial analysis and credit risk expertise will help you negotiate financing packages and identify opportunities in your local market.
If you’re a consultative business developer with strong communication skills, deep knowledge of local agribusiness and agri-food industries, and a focus on building referral networks, this might be the role for you.
What you’ll do
- Build relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders and business executives while managing a complex portfolio of agribusiness and agri-food customers.
- Develop and execute strategies to market financing packages to businesses that enhance the Canadian agri-food value chain.
- Determine the appropriate level of due diligence for complex loan applications.
- Negotiate agreements and evaluate market potential in your geographic area.
- Develop a network of referral sources to increase FCC business opportunities and maintain a strong presence in the marketplace.
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
- A bachelors degree
- At least eight years of related commercial lending experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Financial and commercial lending knowledge, including lending and sales practices.
Preferred qualifications:
- A sharp eye for identifying opportunities with key prospects.
- Professional consultative sales and business development experience
- In-depth knowledge of local agribusiness and agri-food industries.
- Strong communication skills when working with leaders and executives of complex businesses.
- An aptitude for financial analysis and lending proposals.
- Expertise in credit risk analysis and negotiating financing packages with entrepreneurs and executives, including venture and equity capital providers.
