About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance

FDM is seeking a Manager, Engineering located in Ontario, Kitchener, Toronto and or Waterloo to support a project in the Banking sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 6 months but may be extended.
This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.
About You
- 3-5 Years Previous hands-on engineering experience in Java (java, springboot, react, etc.)_
- 3-5 years of People management overseeing a team of at least 6-9 engineers
- Be comfortable reading code still and to question architecture/solutions
- Communication skills, be able to communicate to leadership teams like myself as well as product teams.
- Translating technical jargon to simple language
- Ability to properly manage team and individual workloads to ensure projects hit deadlines senior with more technical experience hands on engineering experience
Nice to Haves
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field like Computer science, math, engineering discipline Industry experience in Tech ,Banking, or Telecom
- Experience leading squads that contain full stack, front-end, and backend
