Original job description

The Co-op Refinery Complex is hiring an Asset Integrity Engineer on a permanent basis to work on-site in Regina, SK.

We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day and an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters. As one of Canada’s largest refineries we employ over 1,000 people.

Our Integrity Team is a cornerstone of excellence, ensuring that our operations are not just efficient, but also safe and sustainable. If you are an equipment integrity expert looking to join a results-driven team, then this may be the opportunity for you!

What you’ll do:

Manage and maintain Equipment Integrity projects and programs, including Risk Based Inspection, Dead Legs, and the Corrosion Monitoring Program.
Develop and manage Asset Care Strategies (ACS) for fixed equipment based on damage mechanisms and historical information.
Lead and provide oversight on daily inspection as well as Turnaround activities completed by in-service inspectors.
Review, approve, and maintain inspection reports for fixed equipment and piping circuits.
Complete root cause failure analysis following unexpected events.
Complete basic fitness for service analysis using data from historical information, as-found condition, and future requirements.
Validate equipment Inspection Test Plans for in-service inspection activities.
Provide direction to contract in-service inspectors and NDE Technicians.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will work closely with technicians, technologists and engineers on the team who specialize in areas such as pressures vessels, heat exchangers, fired equipment, piping, tanks, QA/QC as well as other special projects. This team strives to cultivate a culture of innovation, support and collaboration.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions at our Co-op Refinery Complex and collaborate with teams such as Turnaround, Maintenance, and Operations.

Why it matters:

We fuel Western Canada. Our Refinery strives to be a recognized leader in safety, reliability and sustainability within the petroleum-refining industry.

Who you are:

You have a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited institution with preference for the mechanical, industrial, corrosion or metallurgical related disciplines.
You have at least 2 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Your qualifications will determine the level at which you are hired within our Engineering Progression Framework.
Are a registered P.Eng or EIT with a recognized engineering regulatory association.
You are familiar with NBIC, API 510, API 570, and API 571.
TSASK Pressure Equipment Class 1 or 2 would be considered an asset.

What we offer:

Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit fcl.crs.

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process to ensure an enjoyable candidate experience. If you require an accommodation during the recruitment process, we invite you to submit your requests to us via fclhr@fcl.crs. All information received will be kept confidential.

If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply today!

We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted.

As this position is considered to be safety sensitive and a position of trust, you may be required to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and a criminal record check in accordance with CRC policies.

FCL embraces diversity and inclusion. We’re working to create a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve and an environment where every team member brings their whole self to work. We believe all candidates should feel at home with us and be given the opportunity to fully participate during the recruitment process.
