Provide financial leadership and business partnership to the Refinery Leadership Team (RLT) and CRC leaders, providing insight and guidance on profitability, costs, cash flow, resource allocation, and financial performance.
Oversee complex energy accounting activities, including crude oil, natural gas, by-products, utilities, leases, compliance, inventory, and other specialized accounting matters.
Drive financial analysis and decision support, including variance, margin, profitability, and trend analysis, while identifying financial risks, opportunities, and recommendations to improve business performance.
Strengthen financial processes and capabilities, partnering with CRC and Finance teams to improve reporting, KPIs, systems, controls, and financial practices while building financial acumen across the business.
Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, while coordinating year-end and external audit activities and fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong financial stewardship.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will lead the CRC Energy Accounting team within Corporate Accounting, reporting to the Senior Manager, Energy Corporate Accounting. Why it matters:

We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

Have 8+ years of finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years of accounting-related experience.
Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business.
Hold a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation.

What we offer:

We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted.

As this position is considered a position of trust, you may be required to complete a criminal record and credit check in accordance with FCL policies.
