Original job description

North of 53 Co-op is hiring an Office Manager on a full-time permanent basis onsite in Flin Flon, MB. This position may require some travel for seminars and conferences, and to assist in our other locations as required.

What you’ll do:

Prepare and run period margins, analyze period financial statements, maintain supporting schedules, including and not limited to fixed asset subledgers and prepaid schedules.
Budget preparation, forecasting and ensuring our internal control procedures are in place and always adhered to.
Provide leadership to the team of administrative clerks.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will work closely with two administrative clerks and will report directly to the General Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of hard work, dedication, and autonomy.

The Community: The City of Flin Flon is a unique northern-urban community. Located north of the 54th parallel of latitude, the city was built on an old volcanic belt making it a vacationer’s dream destination. From camping and fishing, hiking, quadding or skidooing there’s always something to do while nestled in the middle of nature's magnificence. Flin Flon has approximately 5,000 people, with about 200 of those being in Saskatchewan, making the city one of two border communities in Canada.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Administration and:

Have 3-5 years of Office Management or leadership experience.
Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in finance, accounting or in a business administration position. Experience within the Co-operative or Credit Union model would be considered an asset.
Have post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration, or related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Are technically savvy with an aptitude for common software.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Are highly motivated and organized.
Are honest, trustworthy, results-orientated, and strive to be the best in what you do.
